Apple Sabzi (Cooked with fresh apples and mild spices)
Ingredients:
- 2 cup Apple (peeled and cubed)
- 1 teaspoon chopped Green chilies (optional)
- 4 cloves
- 1 Cinnamon stick (break in pieces)
- 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Butter or ghee (or use oil)
- 1 teaspoon roasted Cumin powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt (or to taste)
- 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seed
- 1/8 teaspoon asafetida
PROCEDURE:-
- Heat butter in a pan add cumin seed, asafetida, cloves and Cinnamon pieces.
- When cumin seed become golden add green chilies, turmeric, cubed apples, salt, and cumin seed powder. Mix it and sauté for some time.
- Then add 1/2 cup water ,mix and cover.
- Cook on slow heat till cooked and become soft.
- Now add Chili powder, sugar and Lemon juice and cook for two minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and Serve hot.
