Apple Sabzi

Apple Sabzi (Cooked with fresh apples and mild spices)
It is a simple, delicious, easy to prepare and loved by kids!

  • 2 cup Apple (peeled and cubed)
  • 1 teaspoon chopped Green chilies (optional)
  • 4 cloves
  • 1 Cinnamon stick (break in pieces)
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Butter or ghee (or use oil)
  • 1 teaspoon roasted Cumin powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt (or to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seed
  • 1/8 teaspoon asafetida
  1. Heat butter in a pan add cumin seed, asafetida, cloves and Cinnamon pieces.
  2. When cumin seed become golden add green chilies, turmeric, cubed apples, salt, and cumin seed powder. Mix it and sauté for some time. 
  3. Then add 1/2 cup water ,mix and cover.
  4. Cook on slow heat till cooked and become soft.
  5. Now add Chili powder, sugar and Lemon juice and cook for two minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and Serve hot.
Tips: You can avoid chilies while making for kids.
